LESLEY LEBKOWICZ

Lesley began her Theravadan practice in 1984 with American teachers who were offering an approach based on Thai Buddhism and the Mahasi lineage of Buddhism which arose in Burma early last century. She has also practised a little in Dzogchen lineages.
When she was introduced to the Mahasi lineage of Vipassana she was drawn to its clarity and depth and practised with Asian masters and Western teachers Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Ariya Baumann, with whom she still practises. She has practised in Australia, the US, Nepal and Burma.
She teaches the Mahasi expression of Buddhism in a gentle and supportive way and loves seeing meditators deepen their understanding of themselves and of the Dhamma as their lives grow richer and more peaceful.
She lives in Canberra and has a long connection with the Sapphire Coast as well as with the Blue Mountains Insight Meditation Centre where she is a member of the Teachers’ Council.
JENNY TAYLOR
Jenny Taylor was introduced to Buddhist practice in 1979, and has practised insight meditation ever since. She studied with a number of teachers in the Thai Forest Tradition and the Mahasi lineage. She also studied Recollective Awareness with Jason Siff. She now teaches Reflective Meditation with a collegial group of teachers in Australia and the US.
She encourages a gentle, exploratory approach to meditation. She aims to help people develop forms of practice that support their lives and their commitments in the wider world. She wants to help people build strong, connected sangha groups, to foster compassionate responses to a world in crisis.
Jenny is a visual artist who lives and works between Mparntwe/Alice Springs and the Bega Valley.
